Ornellaia Ornus 2013 375ml Ornus dell'Ornellaia

Ornus is a sweet wine produced in very small quantities from late harvest Petit Manseng. It adds further value to the Ornellaia estate, using grapes from a small vineyard called "Palmetta." This wonderful sweet wine was also used as a precious sweetener in biblical times, which also connects to Ornellaia's Ornus.

The 2013 vintage, with its cooler, later harvest than usual, allowed the grapes to ripen slowly and spend time developing sufficient aromas. It has a golden hue with exotic dried fruit, caramel, and honey nuances. It is characterized by a good balance of residual sugar and fresh acidity, with a rich flavor reminiscent of apricot, honey, and dried fruits.
