Produced from the Il Poggio vineyard, a 5-hectare single vineyard with galestro soil at an altitude of 310m, which marks the beginning of Castello di Monsanto. This was the first Chianti Classico Riserva produced from a single vineyard in Tuscany. It is only produced in great vintages and is a wine with long aging potential.

It has a deep ruby color. The complex aroma combines ripe cherry, strawberry, and cassis with notes of juniper, eucalyptus, and black tea. It has a powerful and very well-balanced flavor.
