Only selected Brunello grapes grown in a lean 11-hectare plot of sandy galestro soil within Luce's 88-hectare vineyard are used to produce Brunello di Montalcino bearing the Luce name. It is a powerful yet flexible wine, with complex layers of fruit and oak nuances.

It is a deep ruby red. Powerful aromas of cherry liqueur, red plum, and orange peel are immediately apparent, followed by smooth nuances of pipe tobacco and black licorice. On the palate, it is approachable, lively, and enveloping. The ripe tannins provide a magnificent structure, and a long finish with citrus notes can be enjoyed.
