In 1996, Louis Jadot acquired Château des Jacques. Moulin-à-Vent is recognized as the cru Beaujolais wine most similar to Burgundy. It features distinctive sandy soils with a reddish hue due to manganese content. It has firm tannins and a mineral-driven, mild yet complex and full-bodied taste.

It has a deep cherry red color. Powerful aromas of red fruits and spices can be detected. It is rich on the palate, with well-integrated tannins even when young.
