The flagship wine from Leone de Castris, the oldest winery in Puglia. This wine is named after Piernicola, the current owner's grandmother. It is primarily made from the finest Negroamaro grapes sourced from vines over 60 years old. After a long aging period in French barriques, the wine, with its concentrated fruit aroma, also boasts notes of licorice and vanilla, combined with power and depth.

It has a garnet-tinged ruby red appearance. The concentrated fruit flavors of blueberry and cassis are prominent. Various spice aromas, such as vanilla and licorice, derived from French barrique aging, along with a toasted aroma, can also be perceived. On the palate, you'll experience a rich, abundant, and beautiful velvety tannin.
