Yattarna is the culmination of a project to create a white wine that rivals Grange. Only the finest Chardonnay from cool-climate regions is selected. Yattarna means "little by little" or "gradually" in an Aboriginal language, reflecting the tireless efforts of generations of Penfolds winemakers towards their goal.

Pale green-gold in color. As expected from a cool-climate Chardonnay, immediate aromas of minerality and wet stone are present, along with fruit notes of grapefruit, Meyer lemon, and pear. Toasted meringue, crème brûlée, roasted hazelnuts, and tahini are also discernible. Powerful and complex, yet with captivating floral notes. Textured, with phenolics and acidity giving the wine a three-dimensional power.
