Pouilly-Fuissé is considered the most prestigious wine of the Mâconnais region in southern Burgundy. The vineyards stretch across the steep slopes of the villages of Fuissé, Solutré-Pouilly, Vergisson, and Chaintré. The soil is a mix of chalk and clay, which amplifies notes of hazelnut and toasted almond in the wine.

With its golden reflections, Pouilly-Fuissé is a very delicate wine. The nature of the soil amplifies notes of hazelnut and toasted almond. While good to drink within a few years, further aging will reveal a greater aromatic complexity.
